Despite the poor performance of Bayern in the league the heavy Bavarian influence in the National Team hasn't had too much of an effect on the results so far. However, is it time for Jogi to start visiting the Western and Northern reaches of the country and try out some of the in form players at less glamourous clubs?

i think it is damn time i see no justification at all for gomez being there .. why not helmes , schurrle , who for their clubs do score
in defence or mid MATS HUMMELS!! the only safe bayern players for the nt not to start but in contention are mulller , lahm and schweini , the rest no place there esp badstuber
theres a few more players whos names wont come to mind who should be there .. oh roman )) but i dont think he will ever pull on the nt gk shirt while jogi is in charge

Mats Hummels put in a nice performance against Uruguay as well as Schmelzer. I think Bender would have gotten the full run out if he hadn't come up with a late injury. My money is on Hummels and Schmelzer taking on larger roles in the German defense. I could see Bender and Goetze nicking spots, but I see that more in the next world cup and not this Euro 2012 tournament.

I think Hummels has proved himself the best centre back in the country and should be a starter with the national mannschaft now. i'm looking forward to watching the game on Friday

I still don't understand why Schurrle isn't getting some more minutes. He really is the future, and honestly the biggest weak point for the future right now in the German attack is the striker position. I feel like Schurrle could use some of this development time well to better his game. He reminds me a bit of Klinsmann to be honest, not the best on the ball but give him one sniff at the net and he will punish the opposition.

Ok, so looks like we are taking the pitch against the MASSIVE nation of Aserbaidschan tomorrow. Loew had to call up Rudy and Holtby for the replacement of Rolfes and Khedira. Honestly, Khedira was shit against Austria so this will be a change for the better if Holtby takes his spot.
I would prefer to see Goetze getting a start on the wing. Podolski didn't bring a single thing to that match on Friday and was rather disappointing! Should be an easy win for Germany! Qualification for Europe with a win tomorrow would practically be a certain thing.

looks like job done in terms of qualification. I think only a point is needed for sure but even then we have a massively superior goal difference to Nuri's boys!

I would be in udder shock if Turkey were able to stage a comeback and knock us out of direct qualification. Seems it is just a "mathematical probability" at this point.
